Sanabria

The little town of Sanabria is in the state of Michaocán near Pátzcuaro, a popular ex-pat destination for Canadians and estadounidenses (people from the United States....aka, the Estado Unidense). As you can see, the views of the surrounding mountains and skies are pretty awesome.

Another reason to visit Sanabria is the workshop of Teofila, an amazing textile artist who is keeping traditional methods alive here in Michoacán. Teofila makes her own fibers, weaves her own cloth, and creates elaborate embroidery work that tells the tales of the area.
