OK, full disclosure here. This is a bitch of a perspective to nail. Well, for me it is. I'm still building my drawing vocabulary, which is a weird thing to say, but I feel like I just had a breakthrough (courtesy of classes and diligence), so I'm basically learning a new way to see the world. So here's the disclosure - I had to flat out trace her outline.

This day became about exploring what I can do with this Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen. If you flip back through the other posts for Inktober, you'll see I'm relying heavily on my Prismacolor Premier pencils to show color, form, and shadow. . . . basically so you don't notice my iffy line work! Well, today I'm focusing on some techniques. The contour drawing I did as a trace but all the detail and crosshatch work is mine.
Big takeaway: the hair. Leaving the highlights and forming the lines with the "grain" of her hair was the big show here.
