Making Gateways for the Dead

Cempasuchil (Mexican Marigolds) are the flowers that guide the dead back and forth between here and there, which is why they are also called flor de muerto or the flower of the dead. These folks are making archways and entryways of cempasuchil and will place them on the exterior doorways to either their house or business to help their loved ones come meet with them for Día de Muertos.
